Assignment of Public Private Partnership Contract for Modernization of the Public Street Illumination through Financing, Reconstruction and Maintenance in the Gjorce Petrov Municipality
Municipality Gjorce Petrov
The justification for awarding the public private partnership agreement stems from the analysis of the existing situation with the public lighting system in the municipality of Gjorche Petrov, from which the need for upgrading, i.e. modernizing and reconstructing the public lighting system is being made in order to provide a higher quality public service in the part of the public lighting. The way the service is organized is at such a level that it does not meet the minimum standards for high quality lighting, which is necessary to increase primarily by investing in modern and energy efficient led lamps. Due to the financial situation of the municipality, i.e. the lack of sufficient budget funds for capital investments, it is not able to plan the construction of a modern system of public lighting and modernization of the service without the establishment of a PPP, since the municipality only disposes of utility fees for street lighting.
